Choirs of All Saints’
All Saints’ Choir
Our semi-professional All Saints’ Choir not only provides musical leadership on Sunday mornings, but also sings most of our special choral evening services, performs at major Sacred Concerts with orchestra (sponsored by the All Saints’ Music Guild) each year, and also assists with Choral Eucharists on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost. The Choir specializes in music of the Anglican and American choral traditions, and is as at home singing the great works of the European continent as they are with the music of contemporary masters.
The Choir consists of 12 staff singers and 25 auditioned volunteers, who rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, September through May. New volunteer members are welcomed on a rolling basis, with staff singers auditioned as vacancies occur. A high level of dedication is required from our singers. In addition to beautiful vocal quality, potential members of the Choir must demonstrate a superior aptitude for choral singing in the Anglican choral style, a fluent understanding of music reading, and good sight-singing skills.
The choir has produced six acclaimed recordings for Gothic Records and made two tours to the eastern United States. It most recently undertook a two-week pilgrimage to England in 2023, where it sang the daily services in residence at the Wells and Salisbury Cathedrals.
If you would like to audition for the choir, please contact our Director of Music, Dr. Craig Phillips
Parish Choir
The Parish Choir is our adult volunteer choir at All Saints.’ In addition to providing musical leadership on Sunday mornings, the Parish Choir leads our popular Wednesday evening services in the style of Taizé, sings with the All Saints’ Choir on principle Feast Days, and participates in other special concerts and services on a regular basis. They joined the All Saints’ Choir on the recordings for A Festival Song and the Taizé album Come and Fill Our Hearts.
The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30, and is open to all with a love of singing. If you’re interested in joining, please contact Dr. Phillips.
All Saints’ Choristers
The All Saints’ Choristers provide an exciting opportunity for musical education, choral singing, and Christian formation for children at All Saints’. We’re a proud member of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM).
Becoming a Chorister isn’t contingent upon prior musical experience or parish affiliation. Boys (with unchanged voices) and girls ages eight and up rehearse on Sundays from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm, sing for the 10 am Holy Communion service on the second Sunday of each month during the school year, and at other festivals and concerts as scheduled. A time of community-building over dinner is also provided each week.
The Choristers are led by Mrs. Dayna Roberts, and Dr. Collin Boothby. We welcome new members throughout the year — please contact Craig Phillips if you’re interested in joining!
