Parish Transition

Timeline

Learn more about the timeline during the Parish Transition below.

Every step is guided by the Bishop’s office and full of prayerful listening and discernment.

During 2022, the vestry and leadership were focused on stabilizing the parish from the disruption of Covid and the previous rector’s abrupt departure. During this time, the vestry reached out to the bishop’s office for guidance regarding a transition process and call of a new rector.

Canon Tom Discavage from the Los Angeles Diocese met with the vestry and presented the call process details and an outline of possible call process pathways including Priest in Charge Under Special Circumstances (PICUSC) or a National Search.
